Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has announced the postponement of his upcoming concert in Marseille, France, as he continues to face backlash over his past anti-Semitic comments.

Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, has announced the postponement of his upcoming concert in Marseille, France, as he continues to face backlash over his past anti-Semitic comments.
In a series of tweets, Ye explained his decision, stating, “After much thought and consideration, it is my sole decision to postpone my show in Marseille, France until further notice.” He acknowledged the need to demonstrate the sincerity of his commitment to making amends, adding, “I know it takes time to understand the sincerity of my commitment to make amends.”
Ye’s decision comes after government officials in France threatened to block the performance due to the rapper’s previous praise of Hitler, support for Nazis, and anti-Semitic remarks. Earlier this month, the U.K. also banned Ye from performing in the country, leading to the cancellation of his scheduled appearance at the Wireless Festival 2026.
Despite the challenges he faces overseas, Ye was welcomed in the U.S. with open arms, performing two sold-out shows in Los Angeles earlier this month without incident.
As Ye navigates the fallout from his controversial statements, his fans eagerly await his next steps and the possibility of future concert dates. The postponement of the Marseille show is a testament to the ongoing efforts to address the consequences of his actions.
