Prosecutors Release Photos Showing Gucci Mane Held at Gunpoint in Pooh Shiesty Case

Prosecutors filed photos showing Gucci Mane held at gunpoint with Pooh Shiesty nearby; the images are part of a June 24 court filing ahead of a February trial.

Federal prosecutors dropped a new piece of the narrative in the ongoing Gucci Mane robbery case on Wednesday, June 24, when they filed a response pushing back against Pooh Shiestys bid for pretrial release and attached stills they say come from the studio recording where the alleged crime took place.

The images, the government argues, are meant to underscore what prosecutors describe as the violent nature of the incident and Pooh Shiestys role in it. One photograph, the filing says, shows Poohs father carrying a contract that Gucci Mane was allegedly forced to sign. Another identifies a man by the initials R.D. holding what prosecutors call an assault rifle standing near Gucci Mane. A third frame, allegedly filmed on Big30s cellphone, puts Pooh Shiesty directly next to Gucci.

What the government says the photos show

In their response to the defense motion, prosecutors reiterate their position that Pooh Shiesty is a dangerous gang leader and that the courtroom should not allow him out on pretrial release. The published screenshots are presented as evidence of coercion: investigators say Gucci was lured to a Dallas recording studio in January, pressured at gunpoint to sign a release from his recording contract, and then robbed along with the people accompanying him.

Prosecutors also included a written statement from an alleged victim in the case appealing directly to the judge for protection. The filing quotes the individual as saying he is “deeply concerned” about what Pooh may try to do to him if released.

“I am deeply concerned about what Pooh may try to do to me if released,” the alleged victim wrote, according to the filing.

The roster of defendants is substantial: Pooh Shiesty, his father, Big30, and six others are currently charged and expected to go to trial next February. Arrests were made in April; as of the filing, Pooh remains in custody while his father and Big30 have reportedly been released on bond. If convicted, the group faces sentences that could include life behind bars.

For the defense, the images are the latest hurdle in an effort to argue for pretrial freedom. For prosecutors, they serve as a visual anchor to a narrative of intimidation and alleged orchestration: that Gucci Mane was not merely targeted for robbery but coerced into relinquishing contractual ties under duress.

Elsewhere in the filing, prosecutors lay out the timeline in clinical fashion: the January encounter at the Dallas studio, the alleged attempt to force a contract release, and the subsequent robbery. Notice of the filings landed as the two sides jockey for legal positioning ahead of Februarys trial date.

As the case continues to unfold, the images and motion filings will likely become part of the publics perception of what happened in that studio. Whether the screenshots ultimately change the legal calculus is another question; for now, they add concrete, visual detail to an already high-profile case that ties together Atlanta rap figures, Texas investigators, and a courtroom showdown early next year.

Prosecutors say their evidence supports keeping Pooh Shiesty detained; defense lawyers will press for release. The next chapter is scheduled for February, with serious criminal exposure on the line for all defendants.
