50 Cent’s Diddy Docuseries ‘Sean Combs: The Reckoning’ Lands 3 Emmy Nominations

By the time 50 Cent’s long-running trolling of Diddy arrived at the Emmys, it had taken an unusually official turn. The G-Unit boss’s Netflix docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning, released in December, picked up three nominations for the 2026 Emmy Awards, adding a new layer to a feud that has played out for years in public.

On Wednesday, July 8, the Television Academy announced the nominations and named the four-part project in the categories of Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series, Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction Program and Outstanding Picture Editing for a Nonfiction Program. 50 Cent, who executive-produced the series, wasted little time reacting to the recognition.

“Everybody had something to say when I announced it… now the Emmys got something to say too,” he wrote on X, alongside a laughing emoji. “3 Emmy nominations for Sean Combs: The Reckoning. You can’t argue with the work.”

The series itself, which arrived on Netflix in December, examined the allegations surrounding the currently incarcerated Bad Boy mogul through unearthed footage and interviews with former friends, employees and colleagues. It quickly became Netflix’s most-watched program upon release, another sign that interest in the story around Combs was not fading anytime soon.

Combs is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence after a jury found him guilty last July on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. His original release date was scheduled for June 4, 2028, but that timeline changed in March when 40 days were removed from the sentence, moving the date to April 25, 2028.

The 2026 Emmy Awards are set for Sept. 14 at 8 p.m., with the ceremony airing live on NBC and Peacock.
