Pooh Shiesty’s All Eyes on Shiest Debuts at No. 7 on the Billboard 200

Pooh Shiesty has landed back in the Billboard conversation with All Eyes on Shiest, which opens at No. 7 on this week’s Billboard 200. The Memphis rapper’s latest project arrives while he remains in federal custody, making the chart result a rare public bright spot in an otherwise difficult stretch.

According to Billboard, the album moved 51,000 equivalent album units in its first week, with that total including 51.59 million on-demand official streams. It was available only on DSPs, which makes the No. 7 debut even more notable in the streaming-era context that now defines so many major releases.

This is Pooh’s second top 10 entry on the Billboard 200. His 2021 mixtape Shiesty Season arrived at No. 3 after posting 62,000 EAU in its opening week. Elsewhere in this week’s top 10, Drake’s Iceman is the only other hip-hop project in the upper tier, sliding from No. 6 to No. 9 with 46,000 EAU.

Pooh Shiesty, born Lontrell Donell Williams Jr., is currently awaiting trial after being arrested in April and charged in connection with an alleged robbery and kidnapping involving Gucci Mane and others at a Dallas recording studio in January. Investigators say Pooh, his father Big30, and six other men lured Gucci to the studio and forced him to sign a paper at gunpoint releasing Pooh from his recording contract. The group then allegedly took cash and valuables from Gucci and his team. All nine men have pleaded not guilty and are scheduled to stand trial next February.

Gucci Mane later addressed the incident on “Crash Dummy,” a song released in April. “Tell the truth, you went out like a real crash dummy/And after all that, boy, you still signed to me,” he raps.

All Eyes on Shiest was released through Guwop’s 1017 Global record label.
