Diddy Reportedly Got Into Prison Fight at Fort Dix, Placed in Solitary Confinement

Diddy reportedly got into a prison fight at Fort Dix and was placed in solitary confinement, according to TMZ.

Even behind bars, Sean “Diddy” Combs keeps finding himself at the center of headline churn. According to a report published Friday, July 24, the imprisoned music mogul was involved in a fight this week at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institute and was then placed in solitary confinement.

TMZ first broke the story, reporting that Combs got into an altercation at the New Jersey facility where he is serving a 50-month sentence tied to prostitution-related charges. The outlet says the confrontation started after another inmate dissed Diddy. Sources told TMZ the Bad Boy Entertainment founder “held his own” in the brief exchange before corrections officers stepped in and broke it up.

He was then reportedly sent to “the hole” for the infraction. It remains unclear whether he has since returned to the general population, and there has been no confirmation yet on whether the incident will alter his current release date, which is listed as Feb. 8, 2028.

Asked about the alleged fight, a representative for Fort Dix told XXL, “The Federal Bureau of Prisons does not disclose disciplinary matters or other information regarding individual inmates due to privacy, safety and security concerns.”

XXL has also reached out to Diddy’s camp for comment, though there was no response as of press time.

Elsewhere, Combs recently made headlines for a very different kind of transaction. The incarcerated record label owner sold one of his Star Island homes in Miami for $55 million. The property was bought by JFStar LLC, a company based in Newport News, Va. Combs still owns the home directly next door, which was raided by Department of Homeland Security agents in March 2024 during a sex trafficking investigation.
