Pooh Shiesty Sets All Eyes on Shiest Album for Friday, Shares New Song “Last Man Breathin'”

Even from behind bars, Pooh Shiesty is still moving like an artist with a release schedule to keep. On Wednesday, Aug. 5, the Memphis rapper unveiled a surprise new album, All Eyes on Shiest, due Friday, Aug. 7, and premiered its lead single, “Last Man Breathin’.” It marks his first new song since his arrest in April over the alleged robbery and kidnapping of Gucci Mane.
The track lands with the weight of someone taking stock of time lost and time still hanging in the balance. Over the song, Shiesty turns toward his prison sentence and the larger grim math around it. “I feel the walls getting closer, my release date slowly coming/They gave the homie 75 he’ll get out when we turn a 100,” he raps. “I beat so many ni**as up, I clutch every time I feel funny/Only one step away from freedom, but i still cant go for nothin.”
On the hook, he keeps the writing blunt and unsparing: “Been a rapper and a killer at the same time ain’t easy/Gotta be the last muthaf**ka breathin’.” He goes further on the next lines: “Ever since I got my first button spankin sh*t been easy/Gotta be the last muthaf**ka breathin’/Should’ve shot [censored] a*s again, thought he was dead, he still was breathin’.”
All Eyes on Shiest is set to feature guest spots from Sexyy Red, Tay Keith, Big30 and others. The album arrives while Pooh remains held without bond following his April arrest. He was accused of kidnapping and robbing Gucci Mane and others at a Dallas recording studio in January, and his father Big30 and six others were also charged in connection with the alleged incident. Their trial is scheduled for next February.
The project’s tracklist stretches across 16 songs, with titles that lean into prison time, survival and the language of the case itself. It opens with “I’m Back” and includes “Federal Reality,” “Reap What You Sow,” “Collecting Tears,” “Reckless Living,” and “JPay & CorrLinks.” Features are spread across the record, with Big30 appearing on “Still on Timing,” Sexyy Red and Tay Keith on “Booty Club,” Baby Slime, BIG30 and K Carbon on “CMO Freestyle,” K Carbon on “New One,” and GloRilla on the bonus track “Mane.”
