In a preview of his Funny Marco interview, NBA YoungBoy says a doctor told him the left side of his heart is swollen.

NBA YoungBoy is keeping music at arm’s length for the moment, and in a new preview from Funny Marco, he says the reason has to do with his health. The Louisiana rapper appears in a clip shared on Sunday, Aug. 9, from an upcoming interview with the comedian, where he directly addresses a doctor’s warning about his heart.
“The doctor told me that the left side of my heart is swollen,” YB says in the preview. “That explains the music, though, right?”
The full conversation is set to arrive on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at noon EST.
It lands during a busy year for the rapper, who has already released two projects in 2025: January’s Slime Cry and June’s ML2. He’s also continued to rack up attention through guest appearances, while his American YoungBoy documentary brought in more than $1 million at the box office in its first week.
Elsewhere, YoungBoy has stayed in the headlines for reasons beyond the studio. In July, he called out Future around the release of Hendrix’s The Real Me album. After later apologizing, he went at Future again, and Top also released a diss track aimed at the Atlanta rapper, “What Da What?”
That back-and-forth spilled into a separate dispute with Future affiliate Doe Boy. YB also took aim at Gillie Da Kid over comments about avenging his son’s death, which led to a response from Gillie.
