Latto Pushes Back After Charleston White Calls Her 21 Savage’s “Side Chick”

Latto is not letting Charleston White’s latest comments go unanswered. After White dragged her into a post meant to defend Claressa Shields, the rapper responded on Instagram Live, taking direct aim at his remarks about her relationship with 21 Savage and the pregnancy rumors that have followed them for months.

On Aug. 6, White posted on Instagram in support of Papoose’s girlfriend, boxer Claressa Shields, who has faced backlash for being involved with a technically married man. But in the process, he widened the scope of the conversation and brought Latto and 21 Savage into it.

“Latto don’t get no backlash for getting pregnant by a married ni**a,” he said. “What’s the problem, people? Being hypocritical again.”

“She was the side b**ch that got pregnant,” he added.

Over the weekend, Latto answered back on Instagram Live, making clear she had no interest in letting the comments slide.

“You old, ugly, skrawny, country, b**ch,” she snapped, warning White about calling her the B-word. “I let y’all be loud and wrong for too long. I ain’t f**king no married man, b**ch.”

White later responded with a show of his own, framing the exchange as a win and saying he had succeeded in pushing the issue of colorism into the conversation around Shields.

“Checkmate,” he said. “It’s called provoking thought and evoking emotions.”

Latto and 21 Savage welcomed their first child together in May. The following month, she addressed speculation during an interview on The Breakfast Club, denying rumors that 21 Savage is still married to the mother of his two sons.

“That’s his story to tell, if he so chooses to,” Latto said.
