Nipsey Hussle’s Baby Blue ‘Higher’ Lowrider Is Going to Auction

Nipsey Hussle’s custom baby blue lowrider, the one that rolled through DJ Khaled’s “Higher” video, is headed for the block. The 1959 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe, listed by Mecum Auctions, is expected to bring somewhere in the range of $175,000 to $225,000 when it goes up for auction on Friday (Aug. 14) during Monterey Car Week 2026 in Monterey, Calif.

According to the Mecum listing, the car is a custom build finished in baby blue with a matching tri-tone blue interior, Dayton wire wheels and whitewall tires. Under the hood sits a 283 cubic-inch V8 paired with a Turbo Hydramatic 350 automatic transmission, but the piece that really defines the vehicle is the hydraulic suspension. It lets the Impala bounce in the way lowriders are meant to, the kind of movement that turns a classic car into something closer to a stage prop.

That Impala had a visible spot in DJ Khaled’s 2019 video for “Higher,” which also featured John Legend. The song later became the late rapper’s first of two Grammy wins, taking Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 2020 Grammy Awards. It also went Gold through the Recording Industry Association of America and was nominated for Best Hip-Hop at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards.

Elsewhere, Nipsey Hussle’s posthumous collaborative album with Bino Rideaux, Prolific, is set to arrive on digital streaming services on Aug. 14. Fans can also buy Prolific tees, vinyl and CDs at nipseyhussleprolific.com.
