Larry June and Jhené Aiko confirm their relationship in the “California Dreamin” video after months of fan speculation.

In the Bay-to-SoCal lane where music, style, and soft-launch rumor culture all seem to blur together, Larry June and Jhené Aiko have finally made the speculation feel like old news. The two have confirmed they’re together with the release of the video for their new collaboration, “California Dreamin,” and the visual leaves very little room for interpretation.
Released Tuesday (Aug. 11), the clip is built around a series of intimate moments between the California natives, including multiple kisses and a scene that appears to simulate sex. It’s a pretty direct answer to the months of chatter that had been building around them online.
The rumors really started to pick up after Jhené posted an Instagram Story months ago showing necklaces with her children’s names, and Larry replied with orange and sparkle emojis. That small exchange was enough to send fans down the rabbit hole. Then Larry briefly posted a photo of his gold watch beside another person’s iced-out wrist before deleting it, and viewers quickly pointed out that the tattoo on the other person’s arm looked similar to one Jhené has on her wrist.
Elsewhere, the hints kept stacking up. Jhené was later seen wearing a necklace with an orange on it, a detail that only deepened speculation given how closely the fruit has become tied to Larry’s brand. None of it was officially confirmed at the time, but the timeline was starting to speak for itself.
Before all of this, Jhené had been linked to Big Sean for nearly a decade. Reports surfaced in November that the longtime couple had split, after years that included both music and family life. The two collaborated as TWENTY88 and welcomed their son, Noah Hasani Chilombo-Anderson, in 2022.
