Gunna shows off his fridge, talks Brussels sprouts, and shares the dates-and-walnuts trick he uses instead of sweets.

Gunna’s latest fitness stop puts the details where they matter: inside the fridge, on the dinner plate, and in the small, improvised habits that keep a diet from drifting off course. In a new episode of Men's Health‘s Gym & Fridge video series, which premiered on YouTube on Wednesday (Aug. 12), the Atlanta rapper walked through what he keeps on hand and laid out the kind of food logic that comes with actually trying to stay consistent.
In the clip, which can be viewed below, the Hot artist opens the door to a fridge stocked with green juices, ginger shots, seeded grapes, vegetables and other healthier staples. It’s a fairly sober snapshot, especially compared with the usual fantasy of what a rapper’s kitchen might look like. Gunna, though, frames it as part of a process rather than a lifestyle rebrand.
“My diet is just getting better because I’m learning more as I started doing my fitness,” he said. “I didn’t know what I was doing in the beginning, but as I continue to work out, continue to learn fitness, I continue to work on my diets.”
That learning curve extends to dinner. Asked what he eats after a workout, the Atlanta native said his usual meal is steak, spinach and Brussels sprouts, and he made a point of defending the last item, a vegetable that has long been treated like a childhood punishment for reasons that are pretty obvious to anyone who grew up with it.
“I love Brussels sprouts,” Gunna said while showing off a container full of the leafy green buds. “And I’m from the south. I’m from Atlanta. So, you know, I come from a home of good food. So, I like my Brussels sprouts seasoned.”
Elsewhere in the conversation, he gets into the other side of the equation: sweets. Gunna said he has a workaround for the moments when he wants something sugary but doesn’t want to lean on cookies or ice cream. The substitute is simple enough to sound almost too neat, but it’s the kind of food swap that only works if you actually commit to it.
“When I wanted something really, really sweet and I don’t want to have cookies and ice cream, I go to [fruit] — dates,” he explained. “Take my advice. You eat dates, walnuts, [and] you got a Snickers.”
In another segment, the 33-year-old rapper turns to running, and specifically to the person he’d most want alongside him. Gunna said that if he could pick any running partner, it would be the late pop icon Michael Jackson.
“It would have been my dream to run a 5K with [MJ],” said the former YSL member. “I look up to him. I feel like he could have worked on that chest a little bit, you know what I mean? [I could have] gotten Mike right with that chest.”
