NBA YoungBoy’s Mom Claps Back After He Says He’ll Never Speak to Her Again

NBA YoungBoy’s latest comments about his mother set off a fresh round of family drama online, with Sherhonda answering him directly after he said he never planned to speak to her again.

During a conversation on Funny Marco’s Open Thoughts podcast, the Baton Rouge rapper spoke candidly about the strained relationship with his mother. He said that distance from her had fed a lot of his anger in the past, and that while he still loves her, it is from afar. The interview made it clear he did not see reconciliation as part of the plan.

That was enough to get Sherhonda’s attention. On Tuesday, Aug. 11, she posted a video to Instagram warning her son to stop discussing her online.

“Kentrell, you don’t talk to me, or you don’t talk to me, or you don’t talk to your f**kin’ kids?” she asked. “Quit playin’ with me on this internet. I let you lie on me too many muthaf**kin’ times.”

“Quit playin’ with me, bruh. I don’t give a f**k if you don’t never call me. Just stop lyin’ on me, bruh,” she concluded.

In a separate clip, Sherhonda also suggested that the Funny Marco interview had actually been filmed in Utah, not in Korea, as some people had assumed.

Elsewhere, she returned to Instagram on Wednesday, Aug. 12, to respond to the backlash around her son’s remarks. She made it plain that the situation was not embarrassing to her and told critics to stay out of it.

“I’ma y’all tell y’all this, y’all the ones that need to get right with life,” she said. “I’m not finna to sit here and play with y’all on this muthaf**kin’ internet.”

“So the s**t y’all sayin’ is not going to make me turn on my children,” she added.
