6ix9ine Reenacts Viral Gucci Mane Kidnapping Footage on Instagram
Tekashi posted an Instagram clip mocking the newly surfaced Gucci Mane kidnapping footage as the Pooh Shiesty case continues toward a 2027 trial.
The footage that turned up in the middle of the Pooh Shiesty legal saga has not stayed solemn for long. Instead it has become a cultural irritant, the sort of raw, uncomfortable moment that online personalities quickly convert into content. On July 2, Tekashi 6ix9ine gave the clip another life — and another punchline — when he posted an Instagram video reenacting the newly surfaced Gucci Mane kidnapping footage.
In the short clip Tekashi stands flanked by two men brandishing oversized water guns. One of the men theatrically smacks him with a thick wad of cash while Tekashi repeats, with pointed mockery, “You dropped!” — the same line viewers heard in the recently released footage that allegedly shows Gucci Mane being told he was released from his 1017 contract at gunpoint.

Tekashi attached that full caption to the post, turning a legal and violent incident into a moment of online ridicule aimed at Gucci Mane. The prank comes as fresh visual evidence continues to seep out around the January incident: Pooh Shiesty, his father, Big30 and six other men face charges alleging they kidnapped and robbed Gucci and others at a Dallas recording studio.
Prosecutors released still photos last month as part of their opposition to a bond request, and on July 2 a video — which investigators contend was recorded by Big30 during the alleged event — circulated online. Once the footage hit social feeds, Gucci Mane became the subject of jokes and reenactments from creators across platforms; Tekashi s post is simply the most high-profile of the pile.
Pooh Shiesty and the other defendants have pleaded not guilty. Their trial is scheduled for February 22, 2027, and if convicted they could face life behind bars. For now, the courtroom process continues even as the case doubles as viral material for attention-hungry performers and meme-makers.
