Court filings allege Pooh Shiesty had an inappropriate relationship with a Volunteers of America supervisor who logged unauthorized day passes tied to Gucci Mane's alleged kidnapping.

Federal court records obtained by XXL on Friday (June 26) allege that while on home confinement following a 2022 federal conviction, Pooh Shiesty maintained an “inappropriate relationship” with at least one Volunteers of America case supervisor — conduct prosecutors say directly affected his movements the day Gucci Mane was allegedly robbed and kidnapped.
The newly filed documents claim the VOA employee entered unauthorized day passes into its monitoring system, clearing the way for travel beyond the limits of the rapper’s court-ordered restrictions. Prosecutors say those irregular entries continued through the day of the alleged Dallas studio abduction, with the supervisor logging three separate day passes and contacting Pooh Shiesty nineteen times that day.
VOA has terminated the employee, the filing says.
Pooh Shiesty’s lawyer, Kent Schaffer, pushed back on the characterization in a statement to XXL. “We do not believe that there was anything inappropriate about our client’s relationship with any of the house arrest supervisors. That is not what he is on trial for and is simply a distraction,” Schaffer said.

Even with the alleged help, the court documents list at least four documented violations while he was under VOA supervision. Prosecutors note a cold urine sample in November 2025 that was recorded as a refusal, a missed urinalysis appointment in January 2026 where he cited lack of transportation, a missed biweekly check-in in March 2026, and another missed drug test weeks later, again attributed to transportation problems.
Pooh Shiesty remains in custody as he awaits trial on charges tied to an incident at a Dallas recording studio in January, where Gucci Mane and others were allegedly robbed and kidnapped. He is actively seeking bond, but his trial is not scheduled until Feb. 22, 2027.

These developments come as federal prosecutors build their case using the VOA records, which XXL reviewed as part of its reporting on the matter.
