Drake Gives Away Over $1 Million in Cash, Cars and Birkins at Annual Toronto Event
Drake handed out more than $1 million in cash, cars and luxury prizes at his annual Strong Women, Stronger Drinks event in Toronto.
By now, Drake’s annual Strong Women, Stronger Drinks event has settled into a very specific kind of celebrity ritual: one part charity-style spectacle, one part Toronto flex, and all of it loudly documented online. This week’s edition pushed the scale even further. Attendees at the third annual gathering walked away with more than $1 million in cash, Birkin bags, luxury vehicles and other high-end prizes.
On Tuesday, August 4, Drizzy hosted the event at Toronto’s Casa Loma. Multiple reports said 10 women received $50,000 each, while six others were handed $100,000. On top of that, some guests left with luxury cars including a 2026 Mercedes-Maybach and a Range Rover.
Videos circulating online showed Drake personally handing out the gifts as he celebrated the women in attendance, who Akademiks says were chosen at random and included a mix of media personalities and influencers. In one clip, Drake can be heard telling a group of the $50,000 recipients,
“Congratulations! F**king use it for whatever you need, you know!”
The event arrived just days after Drake posted a photo of himself back in the studio, which naturally fed speculation that new music is already in motion. That would be a relatively quick turnaround, even by his standards, following the release of his three-album bundle Iceman, Habibti and Maid of Honour less than three months ago. Those albums debuted at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 on the Billboard 200.
That run gave Drake another line to add to an already crowded résumé. He became the first artist to occupy the top three spots on the Billboard 200 simultaneously since the chart began publishing weekly in March 1956. It also brought his total to 15 No. 1 albums, moving him past Jay-Z’s record of 14 and putting him alongside Taylor Swift for the most No. 1s among solo artists. Only The Beatles remain ahead of him, with 19 No. 1 albums.
