Drake Teases Rivals, Turns Pinkchyu’s Bark Into a Livestream Moment on Stake Birthday Stream
Drake barked at Pinkchyu, won laughs on a 20v1 dating bit, and teased rivals during Stake’s ninth-birthday Kick livestream.
Drake spent Stake’s ninth-birthday stream moving between internet gimmickry and a few pointed lines that landed closer to business than banter. The Saturday, Aug. 8 Kick broadcast ran for roughly three hours and doubled as a sponsor-friendly celebration for the crypto gambling platform that has backed his streams for years. Stake leaned all the way in, dangling more than $1 million in cash and prizes, including a $50,000 grand prize for one viewer.
The most instantly shareable part of the night was the now-viral 20v1 dating segment, which Drake set up with help from NELK co-founder Kyle Forgeard. The bit pulled in a mixed group of contestants, including influencer Jordyn Lucas, adult-film star Lena the Plug and goth streamer Pinkchyu. By the end of it, Pinkchyu had earned Drake’s “wife” pick after getting him to bark on command, while Lucas walked away with $25,000 and a Birkin. Lena, meanwhile, was awarded $25,000 and an all-expenses-paid trip reportedly to New Zealand, along with a hall pass signed by husband Adam22, just in case.
Elsewhere in the stream, Drake seemed to let a different kind of message slip through. Without naming names, he appeared to address rappers in his orbit of opponents, including A$AP Rocky, with the line, “These guys are dropping albums, like hello and goodbye, and careful with that reply ’cause the pen isn’t dry.”
He also laughed off the legal chatter circling his name. Drake joked that the “Roc Nation subpoenas” were “about to be cleared,” a comment that seemed to nod to a recent What's The Dirt video speculating about Roc Nation’s possible role in a federal class-action lawsuit involving Drake and Stake. That stream comment arrived just nine days after a Virginia judge ordered the claims against Stake into private arbitration and paused the rest of the case, including the claims naming Drake.
The Roc Nation line carried extra weight because Drake’s legal team has already tried to pry information from the company in a separate case tied to Kendrick Lamar’s Not Like Us. Roc Nation was among the parties targeted during that discovery process, keeping the legal fallout around Drake active even as he was making a spectacle of it online.
