Fetty Wap Is Engaged to His Girlfriend Alexis After a Surprise Proposal

For an artist who has kept much of his private life tucked out of view, Fetty Wap just made a very public move. The New Jersey rapper is engaged to his girlfriend, Alexis, after a surprise proposal she revealed on Instagram on Monday, July 20.

Alexis shared a carousel of photos and videos documenting the moment Fetty dropped to one knee with a huge diamond engagement ring in hand. In the clip, which can be viewed below, she looks visibly overwhelmed before saying yes. A few of the photos show off the diamond-encrusted ring in close-up, while another catches the couple sealing the engagement with a kiss in front of a neon sign that reads “Will You Marry Me,” set inside a pink floral heart display.

“I said yes!” Alexis wrote in the comment section of her IG post, along with a diamond ring emoji.

The engagement lands as something of a surprise, mostly because Fetty Wap, best known for “My Way,” has rarely turned his personal life into public content. Alexis, too, has largely stayed outside the wider spotlight. Her Instagram page shows her in stylish looks and at nightlife events across New York City and New Jersey, but not much else has been made public about her.

Elsewhere in Fetty Wap’s relationship history, he previously dated model Alexis Skyy for two years and had a high-profile romance with reality TV star Masika Kalysha. Fetty and Kalysha share a daughter, 10-year-old Khari Barbie Maxwell. He also secretly married Leandra Gonzalez in 2019, though the marriage ended in divorce less than a year later after Leandra accused him of cheating during their time together.

For now, though, the headline is simple: Fetty Wap and Alexis are engaged.
