Future Drops 10th Solo Album 'The Real Me' After Four-Year Wait

Future has spent the past few months drawing a line between the version of himself people think they know and the one he says he is actually ready to put on record. That idea now has a full-length home: The Real Me, his first solo studio album in four years, arrived on Friday, July 10.

The 22-track release marks the Atlanta rapper’s 10th solo studio album and his first solo effort since 2024’s Mixtape Pluto. The rollout had already been in motion for weeks, but the project’s framing became clearer on July 1, when Future posted a video to his Instagram Story that captured a dinner conversation about love, identity and why this album carries the title it does.

"I love true love. I don’t want fake love," he told a woman he was talking to. "True love is like having another life. It’s like having another hit record. How many people can get that?"
"If you see me out with a f**king girl holding her hand, she like, ’Ni**a I still love you. I love you when you holding another b**ch hand!’" he continued. "It ain’t right [but] that’s just unconditional love. I’m still who I am. It don’t matter what. You love me on who I am, [whether] I got temptations or not."
"I’m at a point in my life I’m being the real me," he explained. "You suffer because you can’t even show the people who you really are. That’s why I’m making this album, The Real Me. Because I want people to know this is the real me."

Future first teased the project in January, when he asked fans on his Instagram Story to help him name the new album. By June, Spotify billboards with the acronym T.R.M. had started appearing, before he revealed the full title and release date on June 15 alongside the lead single, "Radio."

Elsewhere, the album arrives with a 22-song tracklist that includes "Fu*k a Interview," "One Two," "No Misery," "California Girls," "Tank Top Playa," "Weight Up," "Konnichiwa," "Trench Coat," "Snow in Skyami," "Build a B**ch," "Radio," "2018," "Money Over Everything," "Off the Hinge," "If I Could," "Big Moment," "Cast a Spell," "Kick," "Hollywood," "Feeling I Give," "Alice," and "Eye to Eye."
