Lil Durk Allegedly Rejected a Peace Offer in the Quando Rondo Feud
Court documents allege Lil Durk rejected a peace offer from Quando Rondo’s side months after Lul Pab’s death.
The long-running conflict between Lil Durk and Quando Rondo has now been pulled into fresh court documents, and the details point to a moment when someone on Rondo’s side allegedly tried to cool things down after the killing of Rondo’s cousin, Lul Pab.
According to documents obtained by XXL on Tuesday (Aug. 18), Durkio allegedly sent a text and voice note on Christmas Day in 2022 saying that people around Rondo had reached out to “squash” the beef and make “peace.” The timing matters here: it came roughly four months after Pab’s death.
But the documents say Durk was not interested in stepping back. He allegedly responded that he was “not hopping on the phone to squash” it because “this for thang and von.” He also reportedly said, “call me bout peace, take the peace of the switch,” a line federal agents interpret as a reference to the machine gun used to kill Pab.
That allegation sits inside the broader federal case now hanging over Durk, who could face life in prison if convicted. Prosecutors say he helped arrange Pab’s 2022 murder as revenge for the killing of King Von.
Investigators have also said Durk paid five men to kill Quando Rondo, and that the attack ended with the death of Rondo’s cousin after Rondo’s associate Timothy Leeks was killed in a 2020 fight. The case has only grown heavier from there, with Durk arrested in October 2024 and held ever since.
Jury selection is set to begin Thursday (Aug. 20), with opening arguments expected as soon as the following day. Durk has pleaded not guilty to the federal charges.
