Lil Durk Hit With Fourth Superseding Indictment Weeks Before Murder-for-Hire Trial
Federal prosecutors added a new interstate stalking count to Lil Durk’s case as his murder-for-hire trial approaches.
As Lil Durk’s murder-for-hire case moves toward trial, federal prosecutors have tightened their case with a fourth superseding indictment.
According to court documents obtained by XXL, the updated filing arrived on July 31 and adds a single grand jury count of interstate stalking. Prosecutors have now split what had previously been a combined stalking allegation into two separate charges: one tied to the alleged tracking of Quando Rondo with a dangerous weapon, and another tied to the death of Rondo’s cousin, Saviay’a Robinson, known as Lul Pab. That change raises Durk’s total number of charges from six to seven.
The government’s reasoning is procedural, but significant. By separating the allegations into distinct counts, prosecutors appear to be avoiding any later legal challenge over combining two different people into one stalking charge.
The revised indictment gives Durk one count of interstate stalking of Rondo using a dangerous weapon and another count of interstate stalking resulting in Robinson’s death. The rest of the case remains intact: murder in aid of racketeering, conspiracy to commit interstate stalking, conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death, and a firearms charge.
Durk, born Durk Banks, is accused of paying five men to kill Quando Rondo in 2022, allegedly in retaliation for the killing of King Von, who was shot and killed by Rondo’s associate Timothy Leeks in November 2020. The case also includes co-defendants Deandre Dontrell Wilson, also known as OTF Dede, David Brian Lindsey, aka Browneyez, and Asa Houston, aka OTF Boogie.
Elsewhere in the case, the next round of motions is set to be argued before U.S. District Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald on Aug. 13. Lil Durk’s trial is still scheduled to begin on Aug. 20.
