Lizzo Joins Kai Cenat’s 2026 Streamer University Lineup

Streamers have long blurred the line between celebrity cameo and cultural pivot, but few projects aimed at codifying that crossover feel as deliberately theatrical as Kai Cenat‘s Streamer University. This year the incubator leans into that crossover in a big way: Lizzo is listed among the faculty for the 2026 edition.

On Monday (July 6), Cenat returned to Twitch to roll out the staff and students for his second annual creator-focused program. The reveal reads like a who’s-who of streaming and internet-adjacent celebrities: besides Lizzo, professors include Cenat’s sister Kaiya Cenat, Agent00, Duke Dennis, Cinna, Maya Higa, The Sushi Dragon, Ludwig, Poudii, Pokimane and Adapt. Cenat leaned into the surprise of Lizzo’s inclusion on stream. “If y’all don’t know, Lizzo be Twitch’ing! She be streaming. And she sent me an application and bro, she is ready to bring something to the table!” he said, highlighting how the musician has already been active on the platform.

He also announced the Club Directors: T-Pain will oversee Musical Arts while noted basketball coach Lethal Shooter will run Athletics, further sharpening the program’s mock-campus conceit with real-world names attached.

Rivalry and security

Not every reaction to the lineup was celebratory. Soulja Boy, who says he wasn’t invited to the auditions, publicly called Cenat out and rolled out his own concept, Rapper University. According to the timeline, Soulja showed up at the Streamer University auditions despite not being invited; security removed him after he appeared on site.

SB left the scene without any reported altercation, but the day did not end quietly: the event was ultimately shut down because the crowd it attracted created safety concerns.
