Ye Reaches Settlement in Lawsuit Filed by Former Assistant Lauren Pisciotta

Ye has reportedly settled the sexual assault lawsuit brought by his former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, closing out a case that had already broadened from workplace allegations into far more serious claims.

Documents filed Tuesday, July 28, in Los Angeles court say the Chicago artist reached an unconditional settlement that resolves the matter in full. The terms were not disclosed. Pisciotta’s attorney, Arick Fudali, confirmed the development to Billboard, saying simply, “The matter has been resolved.”

Pisciotta’s relationship to Ye dated back to 2021, when she began contributing to A&R work on Donda. She later served as his personal assistant and chief of staff across several of his businesses, including Yeezy, before filing suit in 2024. That original complaint accused Ye of sexual harassment, saying he repeatedly made unwanted sexual advances, sent explicit text messages, and exposed himself to her on a private flight.

The case was later expanded. In a 2025 amended complaint, Pisciotta alleged sexual assault and sex trafficking, claiming Ye routinely groped her, tried to sexually assault her on one occasion, and forcibly performed oral sex on her without consent. The filing also alleged that he leaned on promises of career advancement, intimidation, and retaliation to pressure her into complying with his sexual demands.

Ye has denied the accusations throughout. After the amended complaint was filed, his representatives called the claims “outrageous” and “demonstrably false.” In a statement to Billboard last year, a spokesperson said, “The courts are no place to indulge delusions and mental disturbances,” and added that Ye was ready to take the matter before a jury.

The settlement adds to a growing list of legal disputes involving Ye, who has faced multiple lawsuits from former employees in recent years over allegations including hostile work environments and unpaid wages. Some of those cases have already been resolved, while others continue to move through the courts.
