Ye previewed the all-black Yeezy 800 and military-style boots as YZY prepares to return to retail with JD Stores.

YZY’s next chapter is starting to take shape in public, and Ye just gave fans an early look at one of the brand’s newest silhouettes: the Yeezy 800.
Last Sunday, August 2, the Chicago native turned to his Instagram Story to preview a cluster of upcoming sneaker and boot designs. The standout was the all-black Yeezy 800, a layered shoe built with mesh, leather and suede across the upper, plus a chunky sole that carries the mesh treatment down around the bottom of the shoe.
He also posted several military-inspired boots alongside it. Those rugged pairs echo some of the footwear that appeared in earlier Yeezy collections, which has already led fans to read the previews as a possible return to some of the brand’s familiar design language, even as Ye pushes out new shapes.
Elsewhere, the timing matters. YZY has spent the past four years largely out of traditional retail stores, but that is about to change: the brand is set to return through JD Stores later this month with the release of its YZY Slides. It is one of the biggest steps for the company since its retail distribution was cut off after Ye split from Adidas in 2022.
Ye has not announced a release date for the Yeezy 800 or the boots he teased, but the latest batch of previews makes clear that the slides are not the only thing in motion.
