A cryptic June 24 clip from YoungBoy Never Broke Again sparked debate online, with fans pointing fingers at Playboi Carti, Young Thug, and NoCap.

In a culture where a thirty-second clip can reroute headlines for days, YoungBoy Never Broke Again uploaded a terse, pointed message from inside a car on Wednesday night (June 24) that had fans immediately trying to work out who he was talking about.
The footage is short and blunt. In it, YB makes a series of declarative, threatening remarks before closing the conversation in a way that left little room for ambiguity. He tells the camera:
“I’m a real gangsta. We can’t even do music no more, I don’t play that sh*t. I don’t care about opportunity, none of that. You gotta pay deep attention to what be going on out here so you could stay safe.
F**k you. I don’t like you no more. Don’t ever call me. I don’t wanna do no song with you. Leave me alone.”
Within minutes, social feeds were busy with guesses. The usual suspects bubbled up: Playboi Carti, Young Thug and NoCap all got named, and for each there was a clear line of circumstantial reasoning.
Some pointed at Playboi Carti after photos circulated of him with Lil Durk’s father at a recent show. Given Durk’s well-documented tensions with YoungBoy, that image was read by fans as a provocation, or at least something close enough to stoke suspicion.
Others suggested Young Thug. The logic there hinges on his recent association with streamer PlaqueBoy Max; earlier this year Max leveled negative critiques at YoungBoy’s music, a point of friction that followers say could be the root of YB’s hostility.
And then there’s NoCap: some are convinced the clip was aimed at him after NoCap recently shared a song snippet where he raps “hope God brings me the growth to tell Kentrell I forgive.” That line — invoking Kentrell, YoungBoy’s given name — made the connection obvious to a portion of the audience.
Fans reacted fast and loudly on X and elsewhere, trading theories and dredging up recent interactions and images to bolster whichever reading they favored. Names like Playboi Carti, NoCap and Young Thug trended in threads dissecting motive and timing.
